Junior Rangers Here!

Holly is now a Coyote and Nick is a Kit Fox!!

They each had a list of questions that they needed to answer. Nick's questions were actually for 5-6 years old so they were a little difficult for him. He said that one reason you stay on the trail is to look for green trees with green bark :) You can see Holly working really hard and Nick...well, not so much!

We started up the trail and came across the funny looking saguaro. The arm points the way along the trail. Nick tried to reach but wasn't even close!

We found some wildlife along the trail...lizards, mourning doves and a really neat Hawk!!

There is a new addition to one of the houses along the trail. I had never seen it before at least...it is a putting green with actual stadium seats in back. There are 4 yellow seats that look like they use to be a stadium somewhere. Some people just have way too much money!

Here is a few pictures of us walking up the trail...too bad Randy is always taking the pictures!

We saw some unique rocks along the way...I think this one looks like a Gorilla!

Here is a few pictures from the high point on the trail...

Another cool saguaro!

This is a new type of cactus that was found by us today...Chris and Holly named it the Witch Finger cactus!

After we were done with the hike, we went back and the kids turned in their quizzes and became Junior Rangers...Here they are taking the oath...

And here they are with their badges!

Of course, when we got back home, they found a way to entertain themselves...

Finishing with a few family photos...tomorrow I think we are heading to the Arizona Science Center and Greasewood Flats for dinner!
