Jason, Randy and I went to the Phoenix Nascar race on Saturday. Jason and I got up at 5am to do Pat's run...it was so much fun until we tried to find each other after the run. Jason told me we would just meet up in the corral area after we were done. I wore the maroon Pat's Run shirt they gave you with your registration. The only problem with me wearing the shirt they provided...is that everyone else had one on. Imagine a crowd of over 10,000 people with a majority in the same shirt...and then trying to find one person in that crowd. Jason and I finally found each other after 45 minutes...we will definitely have a better plan the next time!
We got to the race track around 1-2pm and walked around and enjoyed all the pre-race booths. We found the Sprint Monster Car...I don't know the car number.
We then made our way over to the Speed Channel booth...I got my picture with Kenny Wallace...Randy got his picture with Wendy Venturini. Jason and I posed in front of the Speed Booth and I actually caught Kenny Wallace in action!
If you look closely, you will see that Kenny Wallace is blocking the sun with a clipboard!

We then headed over to the Tylenol booth which had Trivia and the Driver/Racing video game. Jason and I did the Trivia while Randy finished racing...Jason was way too serious about it but then actually smiled. I did win though...kicked his butt...I won a can cooler AND a seat cushion! I am SO smart :)
Next was the Chevy booth...where Randy got to push the ALMS corvette :)

We made it to our seats in time for them to start the engines...here is a few pictures from our seats...
They also had some skydivers drop in...they had red, white & blue parachutes and were carrying USA flags.
I tried to get the fly-over...didn't work so well.
